Hamilton Robinson Capital Partners welcomes John B. Byrd III
as its newest Executive Affiliate
September 29, 2010 - Stamford, CT
HRCP partners with an exceptional group of executives - our Executive Affiliates - to facilitate the
acquisition and growth of portfolio companies. We look to support executives with deep industry
knowledge and a strong track record in areas that complement our areas of interest.
John Byrd has been involved in manufacturing for 40 years and has extensive experience as both a
provider and user of advanced manufacturing technology in a broad range of industries in both
domestic and international markets. He has held leadership positions with firms manufacturing
precision manufacturing and metrology equipment, bearings, oilfield equipment, airline equipment,
mining machinery and commercial and military electronics. He recently retired as President of AMT-The
Association For Manufacturing Technology and was the former President and CEO of Symmetry Medical
Inc., a leading manufacturer of surgical instruments. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial
Engineering from Auburn University and an M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee.
Hamilton Robinson Capital Partners (HRCP) was founded in 1984 to invest directly in small, privately
held manufacturing, distribution and service businesses. Over the course of the last quarter century,
Hamilton Robinson has maintained its singular focus on this dynamic market to become a leading
resource for equity capital for recapitalizations and buyouts of smaller middle-market businesses.
Today HRCP is investing from its third fund. Investments range in size from $2 million to $20 million of
equity capital for individual transactions. Portfolio company revenues range in size from about $25
million to over $200 million.
